Fans can rest assured that Rick and Morty is here for the long haul. News broke yesterday that Adult Swim has finally renewed the critically acclaimed series from creators Justin Roiland and Dan Harmon, in fact for a grand total of 70 more episodes. This means we can kick back and relax knowing that new episodes of Rick and Morty should be steadily delivered for years to come.
Roiland spoke up regarding the news on his Twitter saying “More Rick and Morty coming. Looking forward to all the tweets asking where it is!” Unfortunately, Adult Swim’s announcement doesn’t include any kind of timeframe for when the series might return. Still, Roiland shared that it is being drawn.
The renewal comes as no surprise following an incredibly successful year for Rick and Morty. Though it’s unlikely that we’ll be seeing a fourth season for some time, Adult Swim does have a plan for Rick and Morty fans to be stoked about the summer. Once more the infamous Rickmobile–a mobile pop-up shop packed full of show merch–will travel the country starting on May 17th.
