3. Moon Knight (Werewolf By Night – issue #32)
Moon Knight made his first appearance battling Jack Russell (the werewolf by night), only to have his origin explained at a later date. The character himself had undergone quite a few changes since then. If this is the first you’ve heard of this silver-clad superhero, he’s definitely worth your time.
2. Guardians of the Galaxy (Marvel Super-Heroes! Presents: – issue #18)
Not at all the Starlord-led band of misfits that they are today, the Guardians of the Galaxy had a very different beginning.
Led by Major Vance Astro (later known as “Major Victory”), the original team included the likes of Martinex T’Naga (a crystalline being from Pluto), Captain Charlie-27 (a soldier from Jupiter), and Yondu Udonta (the blue-skinned “noble savage” from Centauri-IV and yes, the same Yondu later depicted in the film).
