Initially portrayed as a supervillian, Deadpool evolved much later into the more recognizable fourth wall breaking, Merc with a Mouth, anti-heroic persona that we all know & love.
4. Gambit (The Uncanny X-Men – issue #266)
Before joining the X-Men, Remy Etienne LeBeau (aka “Gambit”) was a master thief who wandered the world stealing and committing various crimes. Subsequently, he also seems to continually steal the release date of his own self-titled feature film, as it continues to be pushed back into oblivion.
