“The Last of Us 2” Releases Emotional First Look

What we have learned about “The Last of Us 2” is that it’s a direct sequel to the 2013 game and appears to have revenge and hate at the heart of the story line.

Last of Us 2 director Neil Druckmann gave fans some insight on the sequel during the Playstation Experience panel;

“If the first game was really about the love between these two characters, this story is the counter of that… This is story is about hate, through Ellie this time. The first game you play as Joel, this game you play as Ellie.”

We see Ellie, now 19, singing a sobering song just before having a conversation about the people she needed to kill and will soon kill. Blood dripping down her forehead and bodies on the ground are a sign of what’s to come.

Unfortunately fans won’t get to experience the sequel until around Christmas of 2018. Still a long ways to wait after getting teased by the footage at the Playstation Experience.
