Kick-Ass
Who doesn’t love a seemingly innocent little girl who just so happens to be a foul mouthed bad ass villain? This film is funny and dark, but don’t let it fool you. Just because it has superhero teenagers and kids, doesn’t mean it is innocent.
Rumor has it that Chloe Grace Moretz, who played Mind Macready, wasn’t allowed to see the finished product when it came out because her parents said it was too violent!
Road to Perdition
This revenge filled film isn’t your typical comic book movie. It doesn’t have your typical superheroes and villains and plays out more like a drama, but it is a great film all the same. Set in the prohibition era, Tom Hanks takes care of business killing anyone that gets in his way.
Catholic guilt, gun violence and hate filled violence.
What more could you ask for?
Old Boy
Old Boy is no-holds-barred.
This revenge film is a crazy, violent good time. Wrongful imprisonment, murdering bad guys with hammers, incest and self mutilation all wrapped up in a nice little violent comic book package.
Definitely not for children, this film is for the big boys.
Dredd
The gratuitous violence that Judge Dredd delivers in Pete Travis’ adaptation is fantastic. Dredd isn’t afraid to crush an occasional skull or mow the bad guys down until they turn to dust. There really isn’t any moral struggles for Dredd just some good ol’ fashioned ass kicking and murder.
