Mon Mothma is back for the first time since Return of the Jedi – she does also appear in Return of the Sith in deleted scenes played by the same actor (Genevieve O’Reilly.) Bail Organa (Jimmy Smits), the adoptive father of Princess Leia, also returns.

Director Gareth Edwards put the rumors to bed and said we will not see Han Solo in Rogue One. However you should keep an eye open for Boba Fett that could set up his appearance and transition for the standalone Han Solo film.

1.) A CGI Peter Cushing Could Appear in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story

While Peter Cushing passed away in 1994 there have been rumors that a large chunk of the budget was being used to try and bring Peter back in CGI form.
