It’s been 28 years since movie screens have seen the dynamic duo of Linda Hamilton and Arnold Schwarzenegger together. But audiences only have to wait just a few short months longer until ‘Terminator: Dark Fate’ hits theaters on November 1st.
The iconic Terminator franchise is getting a reboot, or rather a continuity adjustment, with the latest installment from Director Tim Miller (Deadpool). The newest addition will be a direct sequel to 1991’s Terminator 2: Judgement Day and will completely ignore the timeline of Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines, Terminator Salvation and Terminator Genysis.
While only a teaser, we are treated to not only a newer version of unrelenting evil terminator, but we also get an opening chase sequence reminiscent of those in ‘Terminator’ (1984) and ‘Terminator 2: Judgement Day’ (1991).
Sprinkle in a dash of Hamilton’s Sarah Connor doing what she does best, an abbreviated reveal of Schwarzenegger’s aged T-800 body, and plenty of large-scale action pieces and we will hopefully continue to Terminator mythology the way initially intended.
