Bummed that you didn’t make it into Hall H at the San Diego Convention Center for today’s big DC presentation (not only because you were there and couldn’t get in, but also because you didn’t even go to Comic Con this year)? Well, don’t be, Warner Brothers has made footage from its sneak peek of Justice League available on YouTube. Watch it below, then let’s talk about what we think…
My first impression is, “Hmmm… I wonder why it features Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot) so heavily?” (Ha, ha.) Second, I like the humor, which is definitely more Whedon than Snyder. (Alfred/Jeremy Irons, laments the good old days when all Batman had to contend with was exploding wind-up penguins, while Flash/Ezra Miller, says he’s never done battle, only pushed some people and run away.) Third, I like the set-up of it being a world without Superman following *spoiler* his death at the end of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.
But… I’m still not sold on Aquaman. And I’d stop watching near the four-minute mark when the Justice League logo appears. What happens next pretty much ruins how I think the movie is going to rally for its climactic battle. I mean, it’s not really a surprise if you know comic books or comic book movies at all, but still…
Justice League will hit theaters on November 17.
