“Deus Ex: Mankind Divided” is set in a future world in which human augmentation has become not only possible, but widespread. These augmentations, or augs, range from small and inconspicuous, such as nueral augs, to more obvious, like entire limbs being mechanical. The recently released trailer, title “Mechanical Apartheid”, shows how this world went from augs being accepted and even fashionable, to intese fear and discrimination toward augmented people.
What really makes this trailer great is the split focus. It simultaneously shows what is happening in society as a whole, and how it is affecting an individual couple. It’s a powerful trailer, and it has me very excited for the game. If you’re excited to, you can play “Deus Ex: Mankind Divided” when it releases August 23rd, 2016.
