‘Game of Thrones’ Hot Pie Opens Bakery Selling Direwolf Bread

Hot Pie reappeared in last Sunday’s episode of HBO’s Game of Thrones to many fan’s delight. Always a fluffy beacon of hope for the weary traveler on the King’s Road, Hot Pie (real name Ben Hawkey) has decided against picking up lance or sword instead opting for rolling pin and mixing bowl.

Hawkey recently galloped into the baking world opening “You Know Nothing John Dough,” a clever twist of phrase all too familiar with GoT fans, offering loaves of quaint direwolf bread to patrons through the service Deliveroo. Made with whole wheat cornbread and orange zest, his often-inquired recipe remains a tightly kept secret. When asked about his new venture, Hawkey explained, “Hot Pie’s Direwolf loaves are a favorite for GoT fans, and people are always asking me for the secret of my recipe. I can’t share that, but Deliveroo customers will have the chance to try them themselves. You don’t even need to take a dangerous walk down the King’s Road to visit, it comes to you.”

Available through the Deliveroo service, the direwolf loaves cost just £1 (~$1.30 USD) each.
