We finally have it! The teaser trailer for Deadpool 2 starring Ryan Reynolds has dropped providing a introspective look on the Merc with the Mouth’s artistic side.
All right well maybe not but the first teaser trailer for the upcoming sequel to 2016’s monstrous hit Deadpool gives us uncontrollable giggles. Deadpool channels his inner Bob Ross, painting happy little trees, much to his own surprise.
While the movie action doesn’t start until almost the 90-second mark of the trailer, the opening sequence is brilliant. Capitalizing not only on the resurgence of nostalgic affection towards the late public television painter but also the undeniably snarky and hilarious quips of Deadpool himself, it brings the humor as only Deadpool can.
In the trailer we see Negasonic Teenage Warhead, rocking longer hair, and the much anticipated yet abbreviated appearance of Zazie Beetz as Domino.
The most notable omission from the trailer is the much anticipated appearance of Nathan Summers, a.k.a. Cable, portrayed by Josh Brolin. No doubt withheld for strategic marketing reasons, the addition of Cable to the movie has moviegoers clamoring to buy their tickets.
Deadpool 2 opens in theatres on June 1st, 2018.
Holy chimichangas are we excited! Are you anticipating Deadpool doing what Limp Bizkit did to music in the late 90’s? Sound off in the comments below!
