“Dave Made a Maze” is a Comedy Full of Bizarre Wonderment

Foton Pictures

Writer Steven Sears has seen his film “Dave Made a Maze” rack up multiple awards at festivals around the country and now he gets to share it with the world.

Comedian Nick Thune stars as Dave, an artist who has yet to complete anything significant in his career, builds a fort in his living room out of pure frustration, only to wind up trapped by the fantastical pitfalls, booby traps, and critters of his own creation.

It’s a strange combination of Pan’s Labryinth mashed-up with shades of Jim Henson and comedic flair. If you think that is a bonkers comparison then you would be right but I personally have never seen an idea quite like this. Check out the trailer below and catch it in theaters August 18th!
