Did you wake up extra early this morning to buy Avengers: Endgame tickets? Are you still anxiously waiting in an online queue to see what hasn’t been snatched up yet? Well, to celebrate this monumentally hectic day, the fine people over at Marvel Studios thought they’d put one a final trailer, before the film comes out. Have a look.
So so so much going on here. There’s reunions. People sporting new tattoos. And the crushing defeat at the hands of Thanos hanging over everything. Speaking of the Mad Titan, he shows up for a few seconds, which never spells good for the heroes. Yet they have a sense of purpose here and a desire to make up for past mistakes. All leading up to a film that is sure to blow audiences, and box office records, away.
Normally we’d take a moment and attempt to sift through the new footage, for a little bit of meaning, but that feels difficult. Lots of the shots are rather short. Some are designed only to heighten people’s expectations. Not to mention that Endgame directors, Joe and Anthony Russo, recently revealed that they’ve used manipulated shots to mislead audiences. What we can be sure of, is that what we’ve seen so far (real or not) appears to be very very exciting. Nothing can dampen our hopes. Well, till we see the film, at least.
