It’s the day that many have been waiting for. The full list of nominations for the 91st annual Academy Awards has been released. Boy is it something of a doozy. There’s your fair share of snubs (Ethan Hawke), a few surprises (just look at the documentary category), as well as a good showing from a certain superhero film (Wakanda Forever!). We’ll have a piece later diving into the ins and outs of how things shaked out. So keep your eyes peeled. All in all, it’s the kind of selection you’d expect from the Oscars. Which isn’t necessarily a bad thing. If there’s one big takeaway here, it’s that things feel ever so slightly more diverse, than the last couple of years. Whether or not that makes a difference in who wins, remains to be seen.
Take a gander at the nominees below and make sure to mark your calendars for when the Academy Awards ceerwmony aris on February 24th, at 8pm ET (5pm PST) on ABC.
