First Images Revealed of Domino in the “Deadpool” Sequel

20th Century Fox/Marvel Entertainment

When Deadpool opened in early 2016, comic book movies as we knew them were thrown into a centrifuge of petulant awesomeness. We got fourth-wall-breaking snark mixed with some of the funniest self-deprecating ever thrown onto film. With all this, merely time stood between us and Deadpool 2.

We have all known Ryan Reynolds would reprise his role as the “Merc with the Mouth” and that Josh Brolin was queued up to play Cable. Finally, we were treated with the first hilarious image of Zazie Beetz as Domino, Cable’s confidant/sometimes love interest/partner and member of the off-shoot mutant faction X-Force.

Reminiscent of the original movie’s marketing photo depicting Deadpool sprawled seductively on a bearskin rug a-la Burt Reynolds, we now see Domino lounging effortlessly across a Deadpool-skin rug. Hilarious and simply perfect.

The character’s style has been updated slightly but in keeping with her comic tradition, Domino sports her circular white coloring around her left eye that has made the character such a uniquely distinguishable character in the Marvel Comics since her introduction in the early 1990’s.

Deadpool 2 is slated for release on June 1, 2018 and is being helmed by David Leitch (John Wick; Atomic Blonde).

Excited? Ready for another fun-filled, foul-mouthed romp through the Wade Wilson World of Wonders? Sound off in the comment section… (we do read those, ya know?!)
