SDCC 2018: Sony Celebrates 35 Years of ‘Ghostbusters’ With Off-Site AR Game

Wellllll there is something strange, in Petco Park, and it looks real good. Who you gonna call!? GHOSTBUSTERS! That’s right Sony will be celebrating the 35th anniversary of the fan favorite GHOSTBUSTERS at San Diego Comic-Con with an off-site augment reality game. The game will be free to the publish and be located in  The Experience at Comic-Con at Park Park (formerly the Petco Interactive Zone.)

The AR game is a collaboration between Sony Pictures Consumer Products, Ghost Corps, publisher FourThirtyThree Inc. (4:33) and developer Next Age, players get to battle and capture hundreds of ghosts from all dimensions of the franchise, including the films, TV shows, comic books, theme parks, and video games. It features the latest in AR and other mobile technologies and differentiates itself with skill-based gameplay.

No official word yet on how big of a presence Sony will have at Comic-Con but with Venom and Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse coming out this year they will have a few things to talk about. Stay tuned for more details closer to the con!
