ZUUL THE GATEKEEPER
The sensual and sexy DANA! I mean…ZUUL. Need I say more? Sure I do!
Zuul the Gatekeeper of Gozer is a demigod and minion of Gozer, The Destructor, alongside Vinz Clortho the Keymaster. Zuul is assumed to be female due to being known as The Gatekeeper and for possessing a female host instead of a male host.

The Keymaster wants one thing. DANA! I mean…ZUUL.
The ironic thing about “Vinz” is he just wants to put his “Key” in the “Gatekeeper.” But Rick Moranis’ character continues to embarrass himself in from of Dana by locking himself out of his own apartment the entire film.
THE SCOLERI BROTHERS
Criminal ghosts coming back to enact revenge on the very crooked judge that sent them to the chair!? Genius! I love the concept around these ghosts and the design. Strapped to an electric chair and float around the room with volts of energy running through their body as they run a muck in the courtroom.
So there you have it. A comparison of the old school vs the new school and a few favorites thrown in for good measure. In my opinion it wasn’t the all-female cast that has the potential to ruin this film for me; it’s the one-liners we hear in the trailers and the crazy amount of glossy CGI they produced for the paranormal apparitions. It feels like I’m watching a video game.
Still, we should all hold off judgment until we see the movie – and if all else fails we still have the old classic to fall back on.
