SDCC 2018: Exclusive Clip of ‘Summer of ’84’ Fresh From Comic-Con

Summer of 84
Gunpowder & Sky

Fresh from Comic-Con check out this exclusive clip from the upcoming film ‘Summer of ’84’ which will be released in theaters on August 10th and on VOD and Digital HD on August 24th.

‘Summer of ’84’ is from RKSS crew that brought you the now cult classic ‘Turbo Kid.’ You thought Summer was to chill and hang out, but it turns out there is a serial killer on the loose and the cops might be in on it!? The last line in the trailer might be the most chilling… “Even serial killers live next door to somebody…”

In this clip the kids decide to explore the Hoffman’s house because they suspect Mr. Mackie may have killed them. Everything with kids set in the 80’s with a synth soundtrack will forever be compared to ‘Stranger Things’ and this is no exception. To be honest I could watch these types of movies all the time so it isn’t a knock on the film at all.

Check out the exclusive clip below along with the official trailer.

SYNOPSIS:
Summer of ’84: The perfect time to be 15 years old and care free. But when neighborhood conspiracy theorist Davey Armstrong begins to suspect his police officer neighbor might be the serial killer all over the local news, he and his three best friends begin an investigation that soon turns dangerous.
