You wouldn’t think audiences would be clamoring for Annabelle: Creation (formerly known as Annabelle 2). However, after last year’s surprise sequel, Ouija: Origin of Evil, which was infinitely better than the original, the upcoming movie could take us by surprise.
Adding to its potential is the director: David F. Sandberg. If you recall, Sandberg gave us the Lights Out short that became an internet sensation, and its full-length feature version three years later. If anyone can breathe new life into the scary-looking doll, it’s him.
We all know Annabelle comes from the universe of The Conjuring; “she” first appeared in the 2013 movie. There could be another reason to be excited about Annabelle: Creation. The Conjuring 2 featured a demonic nun. In the synopsis below, a nun is mentioned. Is this going to be an origin story for her, as well?
SYNOPSIS:
Several years after the tragic death of their little girl, a dollmaker and his wife welcome a nun and several girls from a shuttered orphanage into their home, soon becoming the target of the dollmaker’s possessed creation, Annabelle.
