Christmas can often be a trying time. Things are overcrowded, anywhere you go, in the weeks leading up to the holiday. There’s family to gather with, that you’d rather not see. Worse yet, the same 10 Christmas songs get played on repeat, everywhere. Well, you have a reason to rejoice as one of the best films of the year is here to make the season a little bit brighter. That’s right, Into The Spider-Verse‘s “A Very Spidey Christmas” can be yours, today! Here’s a quick sample.
If you saw the movie (which we loved), then you may have heard this play over the end credits. It’s ridiculous and all kinds of wonderful. Plus, that is indeed Chris Pine, still vying for “best Chris” status, singing his heart out. Of course, one of the best guarded secrets in the film is that Pine voices the Peter Parker “Spider-Man” of Miles Morales’ Universe.
One song is good on it’s own, but the folks over at Sony have outdone themselves, but putting out a full EP. Here’s the full tracklist:
1. Joy to the World – Shameik Moore (1:40)
2. Spidey-Bells (A Hero’s Lament) – Chris Pine (2:41)
3. Deck the Halls – Jake Johnson (2:05)
4. Up on the House Top – Chris Pine (1:45)
5. The Night Before Christmas 1967 (Spoken Word) – Jorma Taccone (2:45)
The fact that not one, not two, but three different Spider-Men lend their voices to tracks here, is fantastic. You even get Jorma Taccone of The Lonely Island getting in on the fun. Not too shabby and a nice way to add some much needed variety to your holiday listening pleasure. A quick search shows the EP is available for purchase anywhere you may buy your digital music. So what are you waiting for? Also, if you haven’t checked out Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse, do so immediately!
