‘Venom 2’ Has A Teaser Out There, As Well As An Official New Title

When is a teaser, not a teaser? That’s the biggest question posed by the one that popped up for Venom 2, the other day. Traditionally teasers are meant to get audiences excited and amped up for a TV show or movie. In the thrust to do so, a mini-sizzle reel (usually 20-30 seconds long) is showcased to that people loose their minds. Then, there’s this one, for the Venom sequel.

A title. That’s all you get here. Now, we can easily say that there’s something wonderfully goofy about the title itself. Venom: Let There Be Carnage. As if people were arguing for that not to be a thing. Specially after the tag at the end of Venom, where we get to see Woody Harrelson in regal, sorry, ridiculous glory as Cletus Kasady. As far off the deep end as Venom went, at times, fully drowning itself there would probably a glorious idea. This title definitely suggests that. If only there had been some footage behind it.

The other big element here, is the date. With so much of the film landscape constantly in flux, this isn’t too surprising. Originally, Venom: Let There Be Carnage (that will never feel normal to type) had an October 2020 release spot. As above shows, it’s symbiotically fusing with summer 2021, instead. Is the wait too long for you, readers? We’re you big fans of Venom? What other characters would you like to be introduced into the spider-spin-off-verse? Let us know in the comments. For now make sure to quadruple mark your calendars, in character approving red, for when Venom: Let There Be Carnage, swings into theaters on June 25, 2021.
