Another day, another Toy Story 4 “teaser”. As you may remember, yesterday we featured the first teaser from the new film. It was cute and we thought that would be it until a proper full trailer was released. Turned out we were wrong. Take a look below and see why we have used the quote marks above.
No, your ears don’t deceive you, those are the unmistakable voices of Jordan Peele and Keegan-Michael Key. Even better, they’re clearly doing a riff on their valet characters from Key & Peele. It’s light, cute and the perfect way to introduce the appropriately named Ducky (Key) and Bunny (Peele).
How do they feature into the story? Well, we have an answer there too:
“Woody’s journey in Toy Story 4 includes a visit to a carnival where he meets Ducky and Bunny, two carnival prizes who are eager to be won. But when their plans are rudely interrupted by Woody and his friends, they find themselves on an unexpected adventure with a group of toys who have no idea what it feels like to be tacked to a prize wall.”
There’s no telling as to how many more of these teasers may pop up. Usually, when there’s a ton of new characters to introduce, studios either choose one big video, or numerous posters, to do so. Yet, Pixar likes to be different and if these little videos keep getting people exited, more power to them. It’s also months until this gets released, so it would be silly not to expect a few more of these.
Are you all a fan of little teaser videos? Do you enjoy them poking fun at making another Toy Story film? Or would you prefer a trailer sooner, rather than later? Either way, we’ll have to patiently await this one hitting theaters. Toy Story 4 comes out June 21, 2019.
