There aren’t many worlds left for Guillermo del Toro to conquer, but after San Diego Comic-Con, you’ll be able to bring him into a new one… your home! Entertainment Weekly announced this week that NECA has turned our favorite monster kid/Oscar-winning director into an action figure.
It’s just one piece from NECA’s “Guillermo del Toro Signature Collection” that also includes figures from The Devil’s Backbone (Santi) and Pan’s Labyrinth (Pale Man, Faun). The de Toro action figure comes with his glasses and notebook, which actually contains tiny sketches and notes.
NECA, Entertainment WeeklyNow the catch, since there always is one… Only 2,000 del Toro action figures will be made and they’re available only at SDCC, each one costing $40. Perhaps the previously-announced Funko Pop! version of del Toro, part of a The Shape of Water collection, will be easier to find… if you like a cartoonish version of him instead.
