Lena Dunham Joins ‘Once Upon A Time in Hollywood’

Quentin Tarantino’s giant ensemble for his epic ode to old Hollywood just got a little larger. Lena Dunham of ‘Girls’ fame has been added to the all-star cast. Sony also announced that Austin Butler, Maya Hawke ad Lorena Izzo are also joining the case. Hawke is the daughter of Ethan Hawke and frequent Tarantino collaborator Uma Thurman. Which makes her inclusion is an exciting one. Dunham hasn’t done much since the end of ‘Girls’ so it will be nice to see her back in front of the camera.

Once Upon A Time in Hollywood’ will be Tarantino’s 9th (or 10th depending on your math) film. The story will focus on “a former Western star (Leonardo Dicaprio) and his longtime stunt double (Brad Pitt) struggle to find success in a Hollywood that they don’t recognize anymore.” The film will apparently look into the both the end of old Hollywood along with the hysteria caused by the Manson Murders.

Durham will be joining and already stacked cast. Along with DiCaprio and Pitt, Margot Robbie will play Sharon Tate. Damian Lewis is playing Steve McQueen. Dakota Fanning will portray infamous Manson family member “Squeaky” Fromme. The cast also includes Burt Reynold, Al Pacino, Luke Perry just to name a few. For all I know, I might be in a couple scenes. ‘Once Upon a Time in Hollywood‘  will be released July 26, 2019.
