Lionsgate has set a release date for the highly anticipated third installment of the John Wick series: May 17, 2019.
To say the franchise has been successful would be a huge understatement. To date, the first two movies have a worldwide gross of over $260 million.
In the films Keanu Reeves’
plays retired legendary hitman John Wick, whose unleashed vengeance finds him punching, kicking, choking and shooting his way through a plethora of evil baddies.
Directed by Reeves’ Matrix stunt double Chad Stahleski, John Wick: Chapter 3 will no doubt up the body count and the elaborately choreographed fight sequences all while playing like a loving homage to all of the successful action franchises of the 1980’s.
Kicking off the summer movie scene in 2019, John Wick: Chapter 3 is the first movie to be announced as a release for this date.
