‘Critters: A New Binge’ Reboot Series Coming Soon

New Line Cinema

30 years and millions of light years apparently aren’t good enough to stop the invasion of godless Crites!

In exciting – albeit unexpected news – ‘Critters: A New Binge’ will begin production in 2018.

In what began during the heyday of over-the-top 80’s films, Critters became such a cult classic that it spawned 4 movies in total.

Now, 30 years after their first appearance, it looks as though we’re being invaded again!

According to a report from Variety, Verizon’s go90 has ordered the new show from Blue Ribbon Content, the Warner Bros. Television Group’s digital studio.

The preliminary plot is best summarized as such:

“The critters return to Earth in search of one of their kin, who was left behind years ago during an earlier mission. They land in Burbank, Calif., where they wreak havoc on a group of high schoolers and their families.”

The team behind Zombeavers will write and executive produce, with Jordan Rubin slated to direct.

(In an epic bout of irony, this writer can only imagine the title image of this article is his Crite personification.)
