The ‘Dead Rising’ franchise is coming back to Crackle with another film set to debut in June. Today we got a sneak peek of the film when Crackle released a new still.
“Dead Rising: Endgame” is set in the zombie-infested quarantined zone of East Mission City. Investigative reporter Chase Carter (played by Jesse Metcalfe) must stop a secret government conspiracy which, though seemingly aimed at ending the country’s zombie epidemic, will also kill millions of innocent civilians.
Returning cast includes Metcalfe, alongside Keegan Connor Tracyas camera operator and producer Jordan Blair and Dennis Haysbert reprising his role as the corrupt General Lyons. Patrick Sabongui returns in a new role as a skilled zombie killer and video-game aficionado.
Billy Zane joins the cast of “Dead Rising: Endgame” as Rand, a handsome, cruel scientist who’s supposedly hired by the government to find a cure for the raging zombie infection but is actually conducting experiments on the infected. Other new cast members include Marie Avgeropoulos, Ian Tracey, Jessica Harmon, Victor Webster and Camille Sullivan.
Dead Rising: Endgame is directed by Pat Williams (Continuum) and written by Michael Ferris (Terminator Salvation) and Tim Carter (who penned Dead Rising: Watchtower and Mortal Kombat: Legacy). The film is produced by Carter with Tomas Harlan as executive producer under their Contradiction Films banner.
Dead Rising: Endgame is set to debut on Crackle June 20th, 2016.
