Daisy Ridley recently became a household name, due to her role in Star Wars: The Force Awakens. Now, according to Deadline.com, she’s being considered for the lead role in another major franchise: Tomb Raider. The report says that “Ridley is one of a number of actresses” being considered for the role of Lara Croft, Tomb Raider’s dynamic main character.

The Tomb Raider video game franchise began in 1996, but the most recent installements are a reboot of the series. Beginning in 2013 with the release of Tomb Raider, the series goes back to Croft’s first adventures as a young archeology student. The game and it’s follow-up Rise Of The Tomb Raider were financial and critical successes, which adds to the excitement for the movie.

If selected, Ridley will have some big shoes to fill. Angeline Jolie famously played Lara Croft in the original Tomb Raider movies. Of course, it is still early in the process, and no decisions have been made at this time.
