Wouldn’t it be cool to sit down and have a coffee and some donuts with Danny Trejo? Well soon you might be able to at Trejo new donut joint. After opening Trejo Tacos a couple years ago Danny is jumping into the sugar hole business.
He is literally the face of the business. His simple logo that features his likeness paired with a bright pink color makes the building formally known as “Donut Time” a can’t miss spot.It’s visible for blocks. No word yet on when “Treo’s Coffee & Donuts” will have it’s grand opening but it will be sometime next year at Santa Monica and Highland Avenue.
In the meantime, his cantina, located at 1556 N. Cahuenga Blvd. in Hollywood, features good food, a bar and a fun atmosphere. It also is dog-friendly and has outdoor patio seating.The cantina menu includes Trejo’s signature tacos, but he’s added a shrimp tostada, carne asada burrito, jalapeno poppers, quesadillas and even micheladas.
Trejo also has taco shack at 1048 S. La Brea Ave. and if you follow his taco truck on Twitter, you can get the delicious bites wherever the truck is for the day.
