Thirty-plus years, two sequels, a reboot, and animated series later, we’re set for one more face off between Johnny and Daniel.
Planned to debut in mid-2018 on YouTube Red, the comedic addition to the cannon features a down-and-out Johnny attempting to get back on track by reopening the Cobra Kai dojos while Daniel continues to struggle with his balance sans-Mr. Miyagi.
Both Zabka and Macchio have been gracious of their fans throughout the years, even going so far as to spoof their own on-screen personas (lest we forget them in No More Kings video for “Sweep the Leg?”).
One only hope that the newest entry into the Karate Kid universe features a cameo of Sensei Kreese and Terri Silver cruising the Valley in that sweet 1972 Ford Courier.
