The creative forces behind 2013’s ‘Big Bad Wolves’ (Aharon Keshales and Navot Papushado) recently stepped away from the MGM and Paramount ‘Death Wish’ remake project. While I would have LOVED to see what they could do with the re-imagining of the 1974 vigilante crime drama, it looks like we have another interesting pairing in the works to bring back the Cannon Films classic.
Deadline is reporting that Eli Roth is set to direct a remake starring Bruce Willis. Charles Bronson left some big shoes to fill but if anyone can do it then that man is Bruce fucking Willis.
Roth will direct the script by Scott Alexander & Larry Karaszewski. Joe Carnahan scripted the original.
This could be a great pairing. The intrigue of Willis and Roth is enough to peak my interest if the studio lets them go ultra violent with the remake. Otherwise, why remake it with either one of them?
What are your thoughts on casting Willis and putting Roth in the directors chair? Sound off in the comments section below and chew our ear off.
