‘American Vandal’ Season 2 To Solve The Mystery Of The Turd Burglar

American Vandal
Netflix

Over the last several years streaming giant Netflix has been churning out new content almost weekly. Chief among their most popular offerings are original documentary series, like Making A Murderer, The Keepers or more recently with Wild Wild Country and The Staircase. So, naturally it made sense that a mockumentary would rise to match that same quality. That ended up being American Vandal, which quickly proved to be just as popular as it’s more serious counterparts. Since the first season was a hit, a second season is right around the corner. The first trailer of which, hit right after breakfast.

Warning: if you are eating or at work, it might be best to hold off on watching this. Mildly NSFW. Take a look below and learn more about “The Brown-Out”…

The Turd Burglar.  Seriously. Without getting into the rest, that’s the part that stands out the most. Regardless of whatever else series creators Tony Yacenda and Dan Perrault have cooked up, the image of a poop emoji, in a trench coat and wearing a fedora is hard to shake. Beyond that, this looks like more of the same. Which is great. The level of polish put into this ridiculous production is part of what makes it so good. You could easily make some of the same jokes with a shoddy production, but in no way would it necessarily be as entertaining. Commitment to a bit goes a long way.

For those looking for their “true crime” fix (even in a fabricated sense) American Vandal season 2 will be ready for streaming on Netflix, September 14th. What do you all there think? Excited to binge another sidesplitting mystery? Do you only prefer “real” crime serials? Or are you sitting there contemplating how this got an Emmy nomination? Let us know in the comments below.
