A YouTube video on Netflix’s channel, released on Halloween, shows some archival footage from “Minute by Minute,” a local news show from fictional TV station WIYZ. The report is presented by real-life news anchor Brenda Woods and breaks the news of Barb’s disappearance.

giphy-1“Barbara Holland, a student at Hawkins High, known as Barb to her friends, was last seen at Steve Harrington’s home just a few days ago with a number of other Hawkins-area teens,” Woods says.

Barb’s friends described her as “loyal to a fault,” and as “the kind of girl who notices if you’re wearing a new bra.”

Woods gives very specific details on what Barb was last seen wearing;  “a pink blouse, green pants, blue puffer jacket, and an over-sized pair of absolutely fantastic glasses.”
