#2. The State (MTV)
MTV’s, “The State,” was a sketch comedy show, similar to “Saturday Night Live” but arguably better! The series makes fun of anything and everything and doesn’t pull any punches — even when making fun of its own network, MTV. It also gave birth to a ton of notable comedians including; Michael Ian Black, Thomas Lennon, Ken Marino, David Wain, Michael Showalter, Kerri Kenney-Silver and Robert Ben Garant just to name a few. S
tarring and producing such things as Wet Hot American Summer (Netflix reboot series), @Midnight, Stella, Reno 911 and so many much more. With all of this talent how can you not bring it back for a Netflix series run?
#1. Quantum Leap (NBC)
Scott Bakula took the nation by storm when he played Sam Beckett in 1989’s ‘Quantum Leap’ on NBC. He found himself trapped in time due to an experiment gone awry, leaping into the body of a different person each week.
Al Calavicci, at first known only as The Observer, is Sam’s holographic adviser — he provides Sam with some details about his new identity and gives him guidance on how to help the people affected by his presence. But with little memory to help guide him, our hero is forced to bluff his way through many a wacky situation. It was a little like Bill and Ted’s Excellent Adventures but much cooler in my opinion.
Let’s take a Quantum Leap to 2016 and bring this show back!
