The plans for ‘Star Wars’ expansion continued with the announcement of a solo Han Solo movie, co-directed by ‘The LEGO Movie’ hotshots Phil Lord and Chris Miller. Now we know who will play the young Han Solo as reports are pointing to Alden Ehrenreich. The upcoming stand-alone film “Han Solo: A Star Wars Story” is set to debut sometime in 2018. You may remember him from the Coen brother’s film “Hail! Ceasar.”
He wasn’t the only one up for the gig. Several other actors were rumored to be up for the leading role. Including Dylan O’Brien (Maze Runner), Colton Haynes (MTV’s Teen Wolf), Jack Reynor (Transformers: Age of Extinction), Taron Egerton, (The Kingsman and Eddie the Eagle) and Miles Teller (Whiplash). But in the end it was Alden Ehrenreich who came up with the role.
Make us proud kid.
