Amy Schumer Fights Body Shaming With New Comedy ‘I Feel Pretty’

STXfilms

Amy Schumer stars in the new comedy I FEEL PRETTY from STXfilms that focuses on an ordinary woman who struggles with feelings of insecurity and inadequacy on a daily basis. She wakes from a fall believing she is suddenly the most beautiful and capable woman on the planet.

With this newfound confidence she is empowered to live her life fearlessly and flawlessly, but what will happen when she realizes her appearance never changed?

An interesting premise for someone who dropped out of Sony’s BARBIE movie due to scheduling conflicts. But this feels like a perfect punch back at a body shaming society and those in it that judge someone by their shape and not by what they bring to the table.

The film also stars; Michelle Williams, Rory Scovel, Emily Ratajkowski, Aidy Bryant, Busy Philipps, Tom Hopper with Naomi Campbell and Lauren Hutton. Check out the debut official trailer below.
