Quentin Tarantino Confirms He Will Retire After Two More Films

It’s hard to say I am ranking my favorite films from “worst” to first because I am a big fan of all of Tarantino’s films. So here is a look back at what are considered to be the best 8 of his career.

Each brutal and full of star power.

8.) Death Proof

Stuntman Mike (Kurt Russell) is a professional body double who likes to take unsuspecting women for deadly drives in his free time. He has doctored his car for maximum impact; when Mike purposely causes wrecks, the bodies pile up while he walks away with barely a scratch.

The insane Mike may be in over his head, though, when he targets a tough group of female friends, including real-life stuntwoman Zoe Bell (who served as Uma Thurman’s double in “Kill Bill”), who plays herself.

FUN FACT: This is the only Quentin Tarantino movie that takes place completely in chronological order and without flash-backs.

7.) Jackie Brown

When flight attendant Jackie Brown (Pam Grier) is busted smuggling money for her arms dealer boss, Ordell Robbie (Samuel L. Jackson), agent Ray Nicolette (Michael Keaton) and detective Mark Dargus (Michael Bowen) want her help to bring down Robbie.

Facing jail time for her silence or death for her cooperation, Brown decides instead to double-cross both parties and make off with the smuggled money. Meanwhile, she enlists the help of bondsman Max Cherry (Robert Forster), a man who loves her.

FUN FACT: Pam Grier had tested for the part in Pulp Fiction (1994) that eventually went to Rosanna Arquette. Quentin Tarantino didn’t forget her however, crafting the part of Jackie Brown specifically for the actress.

This remains Tarantino’s first and only film (as of 2016) to be adapted from preexisting material, rather than his own.
